Hi. I'm from Vietnam. There are some housing-related question in PPI scorecard for Vietnam. I just wonder in case the household rent the house/room, how can we use the scorecard? I think if we proceed with the interview as usual, the result would probably be distorted.

Hi. You still can continue with using the PPI even if the house that the target interviewee is renting the house. We have already factored in the design of the scorecard the question about house ownership and we deemed it to be not a big influence in the overall estimation of a family's poverty condition.
Also, we would like to emphasize that one or few questions in the PPI scorecard will not invalidate or make your results inaccurate. The scorecard was created using a composite 10 questions and therefore its power is derived from ALL and not just parts of the question.

The U.S. Census has unveiled some economic information concerning income levels for Americans. Among other results in the yearly report, the Census found that median income has declined, though poverty has also dropped.
