Announcing New PPI Alliance Members: AKDN and Global Partnerships
We are pleased to welcome the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Global Partnerships as Basic Members of the PPI Alliance beginning in 2018. Both organizations bring to the Alliance their expertise as leaders in financial inclusion and impact investing with thoughtful approaches to poverty measurement and social performance. Their participation in the Alliance will help to strengthen the PPI as a public good and a global standard for poverty measurement. Visit our PPI Alliance webpage to see the full list of current members.
- The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) brings together a number of development agencies, institutions, and programmes that work primarily in the poorest parts of Asia and Africa. A central feature of the AKDN's approach to development is to design and implement strategies in which its different agencies participate in particular settings to help those in need achieve a level of self-reliance and improve the quality of life. The AKDN works in over 30 countries around the world.
- Global Partnerships is an impact-led investor, pioneering and investing in sustainable social enterprises who deliver high-impact products and services for people living in poverty. They invest in microfinance institutions, social businesses and cooperatives in Latin America, the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa.
